Do You Live in One Of These Popular Whitefield Areas?

There’s no doubt about it, Whitefield is an amazing place to live. No matter what stage of life you’re at, there’s something about Whitefield everyone can enjoy.

It has beautiful parks that are perfect for the little ones to run around in, great transport links for professionals who work in Manchester and it’s a calm and quiet place for anyone looking for a peaceful retirement.

With so much diversity and character, it’s no wonder that properties in our quaint, little town are always in high demand. The question is: which areas are the most sought after?

As experts in the Whitefield property scene, we put our heads together and came up with a list of places in town that we think have great appeal to a huge range of potential buyers.

So, if you’re looking to sell, read on and see if your property is in one of Whitefield’s most desirable areas.

Derby Road Area

Derby Road and the surrounding streets (like Carisbrook Avenue and Walker Avenue) are some of the best places in Whitefield for anyone looking to get their foot on the property ladder. Most of the properties are semi-detached with three bedrooms, so there’s plenty of room for couples with young children (or for anyone who wants to turn a spare room into a man-cave or a spacious walk-in wardrobe!)

Properties here are in good condition on the whole, but there are a few houses that could do with a little touch-up. This is by no means a negative, though, as so many people looking to buy these days are keen to renovate their own home. The most important thing for people who are happy to renovate is finding a good location, and we know for a fact that the Derby Road area fits the bill.

There are plenty of shops nearby, places to eat, and there’s even a nursery and two primary schools all within a short distance. In all, this makes places such as Ludlow Avenue and Taunton Grove ideal for young families.

Best of all, properties here are just a stone’s throw away from the Philip Ellis office, so if you own a house in the area, why not invite a member of our team over to receive a free property valuation?

Bury New Road Area

There are so many desirable streets in this area, it’s near impossible to single three or four out. Luckily, many of them are adjoining, so you don’t have to go too far to find them all!

Streets such as Lily Hill, Nipper Lane and Kings Avenue mainly play hosts to terraced houses and semi-detached properties, which have great appeal to first-time buyers. Many properties on these streets were also built in a beautiful Victorian style which attract buyers looking for period features.

In fact, we recently sold a 2-bed Victorian terrace onLily Hill for £10,000 over the asking price. That’s how in demand these properties can be.

There’s lots of potential for properties in this area, as people are looking to create a home that combines character from the Victorian era with the modern style of living we enjoy today. In particular, homes with feature fireplaces and high ceilings command serious attention, so keep that in mind if you decide to sell on.

Fusiliers Meadow Area

Streets near Fusiliers Meadow are also places that attract the attention of a lot of first-time buyers. The area mainly consists of semi-detached properties, but there are a few bungalows, terraced and detached properties there too that usually pique people’s interests.

Thatch Leach Lane in particular has seen a real resurgence since it’s days as a housing association area for Bury Council, with many properties now being privately owned. There are many fantastic amenities here, too, with Fusiliers Meadow naturally taking centre stage as a great place for walks and spending time with the little ones.

The real appeal for buyers looking in this area is in the price. Whitefield is known for its great properties with excellent kerb appeal, but the affordability of properties here is the main driving force behind enquiries. It’s hard to find a lovely family home at a fair price no matter where you are in the UK, but these streets tick both boxes.

If you own a property around here and you’re looking to sell on, you’ll need to speak to an estate agent who can use their local knowledge to get you a quick sale for the best price possible.

Stand Golf Course Area

We’ve come to the final stop on our journey through Whitefield, and we thought it’d be good to go out with a bang. For anyone property hunting with a very healthy budget in our town, the properties in the Stand Golf Course area are an absolute must to check out.

Places such as Ringley Road are quiet residential areas, full of beautiful detached and semi-detached properties. The large gardens synonymous here are perfect for families, and of course, they have huge appeal to anyone with green fingers.

Keen golfers are also spoilt for choice as Whitefield Golf Club is just a short distance from Stand. For those who prefer their sporting activities to be a little more robust, Sedgley Park Rugby Club is also just around the corner.

And if potential buyers are keen to see what’s happening all across Manchester, they’ll be very happy to hear that the Metrolink is only a few minutes away.

Very recently, we even sold a property around here off-market, so if you’re thinking of selling on and would prefer a more private sale, we have the expertise, knowledge and experience to get the job done.

The Appeal of Whitefield

If you’re looking to sell your property in Whitefield, the areas we mentioned in this blog all tend to do very well on the market.

If you own a home on one of these streets and you’re thinking of selling on, a member of the Philip Ellis team can come round and give you a free property valuation.

That said, all of Whitefield has a huge amount of appeal, and our expert knowledge in the area means we can sell any property in town.
